At the Zetu Foundation we envision a world tomorrow where every African is literate enough to contribute to themselves and there community.

We ensure this by equipping children in rural schools with the basics that support sitting and learning in classrooms by delivering the SEATPACK: a $15 school bag that also turns into a bamboo classroom chair with a writing board (and menstrual pouch for adolescent girls) at no extra cost to the school children.

Ochiba Primary School

Ochiba primary school is a mixed day and boarding school located in Northern Uganda, Arua District. Before getting SeatPacks, the students sat on the cemented floor.

Alijoda Primary School

Alijoda Primary School is located in Northern Uganda, in the West-Nile region. Before receiving SeatPacks, the school children was sitting on an uncemented floor covered with old sisal sacks.

Abiki Primary School

The schoolchildren at Abiki Primary School, located in Northern Uganda, have many of their classes outside. Before getting SeatPacks, the children used to sit on stones on the ground. They're now sitting on SeatPacks instead, which work well in their outside classroom.

YOYO Primary School

YOYO is a mixed school located at the Bidi-Bidi refugee centre in Northern Uganda. Having been handed 50 SeatPacks, the school asked us to develop the SeatPack design further and include a mentruation sanitary aid. And guess what? We did. The sanitary pocket is now a key feature of every SeatPack we make.

APO ARMY Primary School

Before receiving SeatPacks, the students at APO ARMY Primary School sat uncomfortably on the floor in the open sheltered classrooms. 50 SeatPacks were handed to the students, who now sit more comfortably in class and take notes on the portable SeatPack blackboard.

LUI Primary School

Located in Eastern Uganda, Moroto district, LUI educates children of the Karamajong tribe. The children have classes in sheltered classrooms, but was previously sitting on the floor. To give the LUI students a place to sit and write, we donated 50 SeatPacks to the school in collaboration with Karatunga tours and travel company.

Kibinjwa Primary School

At the Kibinjwa Primary School in Hoima district, Western Uganda, school children used to sit on the floor under a tree shed. After being handed SeatPacks, the children have been able to sit more comfortably during class, often outside in nature. The SeatPacks were donated in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Learning centre at the Nakivale settlement camp

Set up to educate children fleeing conflict from Burundi, DRC and South Sudan, the learning centre is located in the Isingiro district in Western Uganda. We handed 50 SeatPacks to the children in collaboration with Warchild Canada, an international development agency.

Before receiving SeatPacks, the children used to sit on the floor and benches in a tent. The SeatPacks fits well into the tent and the children can now sit more comfortably to write during class.
