We are furnishing the poorest primary school classrooms in rural Africa using a school bag with a bamboo-classroom-chair and writing-board (including a menstrual toolkit inside for adolescent girls) called a SeatPack: 3-times cheaper than wooden class desks.

We do this to exponentially increase the chances for the poorest children to access a literate future and the opportunities such a future presents to thrive.

Children
Sitting comfortably and writing properly in class with SeatPacks is directly improving their literacy and learning at school.
Over 95 Million African school children attend classes in rooms without furniture.
This makes sitting and writing very difficult, directly affecting child literacy and health over the long term; poor posture for long hours impacts kids’ ability to write properly and causes back pain.
Relying on only tree-timber to make classroom furniture accelerates the Climate Change catastrophe at a mass scale annually.
Adolescent girls often miss school to properly cater to period hygiene, missing up to 20% of the school year.
The SeatPack is changing all the above.
